Wanpingcheng Station Public Artwork, titled "Memories of Wanping," aims to reflect the long-standing historical heritage and humanistic spirit of Wanpingcheng in its creation. The artwork draws inspiration from two main aspects: the historical and cultural elements of Wanpingcheng, such as the Moon over the Lugou Bridge at Dawn and the diverse stone lions with various postures and expressions on Lugou Bridge, and the patriotic and diligent spirit inherited by Wanpingcheng, combined with red elements symbolizing joy and celebration in the hearts of the Chinese people. To facilitate spatial dialogue, a triangular folding board form was chosen, merging two distinct scenes through the folds of AB planes. As passengers move through the concourse, the artwork changes and interacts with their progress, adding an element of amusement. Furthermore, different spaces and moments in Wanping's culture are integrated into the overall railway space, creating a visual effect of overlapping and blending, fostering a spatial dialogue between historical memory and contemporary ambience.
